Edith Hope Fine: Hi there. This is Edith Hope Fine. I was named Edith Miriam Hope for my grandmother's sister, Edith Miriam. Anyone who calls me De De has known me a long, long time. If you take off the H, my first name spells E-D-I-T, which is rather neat for someone who writes books and loves to edit. One time my friend Sarah Content and I were checking into a hotel for a conference, and we said, "Fine and Content." And the registration clerk just looked at us and then said, "Uh, that's nice." We still laugh about that today. So I get three lives for the price of one; the regular life, the reading bibliophilic life, and the writing life. I hope you do that too. That would be fine.
