Book Description
for Fish and Sun by Sergio Ruzzier
From Cooperative Children's Book Center (CCBC)
Fish, who’s bored just hanging out near the ocean floor, sets out to find something more interesting on the surface of the sea and finds Sun. The two entertain each other for a while—Sun plays hide-and-seek behind clouds, Fish spits out water—until Sun begins to turn red and disappears behind the horizon. The next day is cloudy and stormy, so Fish is once again cold and bored until the next time Sun appears. There’s visual humor here in both the text and illustrations, and the book uses dialogue bubbles so that it looks like comic art.
