The second book in the Mothers of Xsan series examines native animals through the cultural lens of the Gitxsan Nation. In this book the grizzly bear, or the Nox Lik'i'nxw, is examined. The book looks at the life of the grizzly from birth to adulthood. Includes scientific information on the grizzly bears, seasons, and the environment. Illustrations are digitally rendered with thick black outlines and earthy colors that reflect the tone and setting of the book.
