Book Descriptions
for Bill Peet by Bill Peet
From Cooperative Children's Book Center (CCBC)
The popular and prolific artist/author tells about his early career as a Disney Studio employee and his initial struggles to write original stories to go into the action-filled, exuberant books he later created for young children. Black-and-white line drawings fill half of every 10¼" x 8¼'' page, telling much about an artist's life in the mid-20th century and also about the development of several animated Disney films familiar to children today. (Ages 7-12)
